Getting Started

Arrange with your Board of Trustees or other appropriate entity for permission and financing.

Plan ahead.  Choose the type and size garden that is appropriate to your space and reasonable for your volunteers to manage.

Recruit a dedicated volunteer base to commit to cultivation, planting, watering, weeding and harvesting.

Consult resources - garden experts and other faith groups who have had garden successes.

Consider collaborating or networking with nearby faith groups.
